Food for Thought: How Entrepreneurs Are Transforming What We Eat
Join us for an inside look at the future of food innovation.
The Food Innovation Track of the 2026 GW New Venture Competition, in collaboration with the Global Food Institute at GW, invites you to an energizing and candid conversation with trailblazing food entrepreneurs - including the minds behind Andy’s Pizza and Falafel Inc.
These founders will share real stories from the frontlines of launching and growing food ventures - including how they got started, where they find inspiration, what keeps them innovating daily, and why the future of food matters more than ever. This moderated panel will blend structured questions with open, informal discussion - giving attendees a rare behind-the-scenes look at the business of food and how entrepreneurs are solving global food challenges with local impact.
Whether you're applying to the New Venture Competition, curious about launching a food startup, or simply passionate about food access, sustainability, and entrepreneurship - this session is for you. Food and samples will be provided at the event.
Co-hosted by the GW Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship and the Global Food Institute at GW.
