Pitch George Competition

PG 2017

The annual Pitch George Competition is one of the George Washington University's (GW) premier entrepreneurial initiatives organized by the GW Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CFEE). The "elevator pitch" competition takes place each fall semester and allows young entrepreneurs (from high school to GW graduate students) to present their business ideas, get valuable feedback on the viability of their business concepts and win startup capital.

The Pitch George Competition is held in three tracks: Graduate, Undergraduate and Women's Tracks. The prize breakdown is listed below:

  • Graduate Track
    • 1st Place - $2,000
    • 2nd Place - $1,250
    • 3rd Place - $750
  • Undergraduate Track
    • 1st Place - $2,000
    • 2nd Place - $1,250
    • 3rd Place - $750
  • Women's Track
    • 1st Place - $2,000
    • 2nd Place - $1,250
    • 3rd Place - $750

The competition offers networking opportunities with entrepreneurs from the greater DC area as well as hands-on preparation for the GW New Venture Competition - the top undergraduate and the top graduate winners automatically advance to the semi-finals.

If you are interested in competing in this year's competition but need more information, an Info Session will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 5PM - 5:45PM in Funger 320.
