Upcoming Regional Introductory Courses

The DC I-Corps programs will offer a short course, "Introduction to I-Corps," at GW in the DC area. For the best consideration, please apply as soon as possible. Teams will be accepted on a rolling basis.

April Cohort (April 25 - May 16, 2018)

1st Session: Opening Workshop (GW Science & Engineering Hall, Room B1270: 800 22nd St. NW, Washington, DC 20052)

  • Wednesday, April 25, 2018 (3:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST):
    • Intro to I-Corps & Expectations
    • Team Introductions
    • Lectures on the Business Model Canvas, Customer Segments & Types, and Value Propositions
    • Workshop: Conducting Customer Interviews
    • Mandatory Office Hours

Webinar Review Session (via Webex)

  • Friday, April 27, 2018 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM EST):
    • One-hour review webinar of team progress. All team members must attend (virtually).
    • Login instructions will be provided in advance

Mid-point check-in (in person)

  • Wednesday, May 2 (individually scheduled between 9am and 5pm)
    • Each team will sign up for a 30 minute in-person presentation timeslot between 9am and 5pm.
    • You will only present and attend during your assigned time (in-person).
    • 30-minute check-in session

Closing Session* (Location TBD)

  • Wednesday, May 16, 2018 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST)**:
    • Final Presentations
    • Closing
      **Teams must have completed 20 interviews by May 31 and have met with an instructor to complete the final presentation and receive a completion certifcate.

Note: If you are a deep tech company in the DC region, you need to get your application into the AccelerateDC program by April 15, 2018. The final 2-week regional Intro to I-Corps and Qualification course begins on April 25, 2018. The 2-week regional course is the only means for establishing I-Corps lineage and eligibility for non-university teams to enter the National I-Corps training program and follow GO training.
