AccelerateDC
A brand new program for non-university-affiliated teams to get the benefits of NSF I-Corps

The purpose of AccelerateDC (a year-long program administered by GW) is to bring the benefits of I-Corps to early stage non-university-affiliated technology startups in the greater-DC region. The AccelerateDC program includes:

  • Qualifying course: Introduction to I-Corps, run at GW
  • Customer discovery course: I-Corps Phase 0TM, run at national I-Corps centers
  • Entrepreneurial training course: I-Corps GoTM, run at GW
  • SBIR Phase 1 grant application support
  • Mentor support throughout the program

AccelerateDC will select 8 -10 teams to begin the program in 2018.  Applications are due by April 15, 2018. The final 2-week regional Intro to I-Corps and Qualification course begins on April 25, 2018. The 2-week regional course is the only means for establishing I-Corps lineage and eligibility for non-university teams to enter the National I-Corps training program and follow GO training.  Click here to apply now!

Following the initial qualifying course, selected teams will be awarded reimbursement-based, non-dilutive grants of $25,000 prior to the national I-Corps Phase 0 course.  Funds are used for travel related to the national course and customer discovery activities.
